Bed Maintenance Crew Leader

Hemlock Landscapes is seeking a dependable and motivated Landscape Crew Leader to support our residential landscape operations in Bed Maintenance. This role requires leadership experience, understanding of bed maintenance such as pruning, mulching, weeding, while upholding strong safety, efficiency, and customer service standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Safety & Jobsite Standards

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Use proper PPE and safety equipment at all times
• Safely operate company vehicles and landscape equipment
• Inspect job sites for hazards before, during, and after work
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Participate in safety meetings and required training

Landscape Production & Quality

• Perform residential landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing
• Complete bed maintenance such as mulching, pruning, weeding, and plant care
• Assist with or lead landscape installations and enhancements
• Perform or assist with residential turf care applications per company standards
• Follow work orders and production standards
• Assist in meeting daily production, efficiency, and quality goals
• Inspect work before moving to the next task and before leaving job sites

Equipment & Vehicle Care

• Operate tools and equipment safely and for their intended purpose
• Perform routine maintenance of tools and equipment
• Clean and properly store tools, equipment, trucks, and trailers daily
• Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment according to company procedures

Teamwork, Training & Communication

• Work collaboratively with crew members, crew leaders, and supervisors
• Communicate clearly with team members and customers as needed
• Assist in training new team members as experience allows
• Participate in meetings, reviews, and training opportunities
• Complete required paperwork and administrative tasks accurately

Customer Service

• Provide professional, respectful service at all times
• Address customer questions or concerns on site and notify supervisors as needed
• Ensure work meets customer expectations before leaving the property

Qualifications

Required:

• Alignment with Core Values
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 80 lbs
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Preferred:

• Previous residential landscaping or maintenance experience
• Valid driver’s license meeting company driving standards
• Applicator license or willingness to obtain one (for turf care responsibilities)
